I am posting my opinions on the poor service of the online music equipment store, American Musical Supply, to try and help others avoid the dishonest service I encountered. I needed a keyboard to allow my son to start piano lessons. I have no expertise in the electronic keyboard equipment field. I purchased a Yamaha P85 and then saw the OnStage KS7350 keyboard stand on sale at American Musical Supply. It seemed like a sturdy keyboard stand, and I was hoping that keyboards followed some standard on how they place their mounting set screw holes. Before purchasing the keyboard, I sent the American Musical Supply support staff the email question below asking if the OnStage KS7350 keyboard was appropriate for my Yamaha P85 keyboard. They replied back that the keyboard would work just fine with the stand. Based on that email response, I purchased the OnStage KS7350 keyboard stand.
In fact, the keyboard stand is clearly not made to work with the Yamaha P85 digital piano. There are no set screw holes on the stand to secure the keyboard. I will be forced to build a special jig to get the two items to work together. But if I need to build a jig, I could just of easily built the stand and saved money and possibly time. In my opinion American Musical Supply either is so ignorant they do not know their own products or they lied to make a sale. I intend to avoid this merchant in the future. They seem either incompetent or corrupt and have little regard for their customers.

The P85 has a total of 4 stand screw set points on either end, but I am not sure whether the front to back distances on these mounting screw points follow a standard for their separation distance which matches the On-stage stand.
