I am an acupuncturist who accepts insurance for treatments.  This company is a scam....  they contract with other health insurance providers then do not honor their contracts.  I have personally not been paid thousands of dollars now, because they either lose paperwork????, do not authorize payment for reasons that were already addressed or just fail to respond.  I am finding to get paid I must submit a billing up to 5 times.  In which case it is past ASH's cutoff from when the service was rendered.  They work every angle to not pay, what they are receiving checks for.  Providence, Blue Shield, and many other big insurance companies use ASH for their alternative care medicine.  The problem is ASH does not pay!!!!  I think this company preys on small businesses and knows without a large law firm and a big staff there is no way to be diligent enough to prove they are committing fraud.  They promise coverage then do not pay providers.  I know several people in my field who will not treat patients with ASH now.... it is sad.  People really need help and are getting denied because of some unlawful company in San Diego.  File complaints people, maybe with enough of us we can get these guys to go to jail.
