American Standard Financial Ripped me off! Champlain New York

In July of 2007, I was contacted by a lady calling herself Tamika Wells. She stated that she was from a government company called American Standard Financial.
I was told that after reviewing my tax return from the previous year, I was quallified for a grant valued at $4500. All that was required of me, was a processing fee of $359. Then within 48 hours the $4500 would be transferred into my checking account.

The $359 was drafted from my account on July 2, 2007. After a couple of days, I checked my bank account and soon found out that $4500 was never transferred into my account.

I called the "customer service' number that I was given. The lady on the other line told me that their manager had been out of town, so it had pushed things back by a couple of weeks.
After waiting another couple of weeks, i contacted "customer service' again. This time I was told that I should receive my package by the end of the week.

Soon, I forgot about the whole thing. Shortly after, my husband commented about the "grant" money that I was Suppose to be receiving. So, I called customer service once again. And, once again, I was told that things were backed up, but should be receiving the packets by the end of the week.
Thats when my husband had the idea of checking on the internet to see if we could find any information about this "American Standard Financial".

This is when we found this web site a found out that this was all a scam. That I been taken for my money. I now will never, ever give any one over the phone any of my personal information!
