I was reached by a woman with the name of Kim Joseph on July 11. 2007. She told me she was from American Standard Financial and that she had great news for me. My first reaction was "I'm not interested!" BUt she was very convincing in telling me that it was from the governmnet. So I gave her an opportunity to explain the reason why she was calling.

She told me that because I made such a low-income last year for 2006 in my taxes that I'd qualified for a $4500 grant. I'm a christian person and I believed it was the answer to my prayers, a way of getting out of debt. I started asking many questions: How did you get my number (since it was new)? Why me? Is this legit? How long would it take to get my money? And they had an answer for everything. She told me that is the government and that they have everyone's information. That it would only take 15-20 business days for me to receive my paperwork but that I would get my money within 72 hours. So I said if it's free why pay? She said that it was for their services. That I can do this on my own but it is alot of work. So after much thought and doubt, I gave her my information. I was very skeptical so I changed my mind.

They put a manager on the phone by the name of Susan King to seal the deal. She assured me it wasn't a scam and that if I was not satisfied they would give me a full refund. So I said ok, I have nothing to loose. I didn't pay my car that month so that I could pay for this charge. I figured I could make triple the payment with the money I was getting. I'm a mother of four and my husband is the only one that works. So when he heard about what I had done he was not sure about it, but he said let's see.

On or about Sept. 7 2007, after two months and many phone calls later I got the application. I was infuriated. I couln'dt believe that was what I paid $359 for. I called them and of course it was a he said she said thing. I misunderstood, it wasn't a guarantee that I would get that money it was a maybe. I was like I want a refund and they told me to send the application back in good conditon and I would get my refund within 15-20 business days. Well that was the ending of September. We are now in December and nothing. I called them last week and they told me taht I was on the refund list for December 7th. Nothing yet.

These people took advantage of many vulnerable human beings, who are just looking for a chance in getting out of debt or getting a break. It is a shame that this happened to all of us and it is a learning experience for me, as it should be for you all. I hope that the Lord blesses you all with the money and some for the holidays. Keep your faith and know that God is control. I know that the vengeance is His and this company and the employees will suffer for the lies and deceit that they are feeding to innocent people on a daily basis.

God bless you all!!!
