American Tax Relief ripoff Beverly Hills California

I contacted American Tax Relief in the spring of 2005. I paid the handsome sum of $3900.00 to them to fill out their paperwork so they could help me with tax problems. I filled out the paperwork and responded quickly to them.

And then, the abuse started. I was quickly informed that the person who sold me on the idea of buying their program "had gone on to another job". So, that person couldn't verify anything I had been promised---such as getting my taxes reduced to less than a few thousand. (I only owed $12,000.00 and had been told that people owed hundreds of thousands and they had been helped them so "why did I think they couldn't help me??). What a sucker I was for that line. But I was desparate and wanted to believe this whole mess could go away as easily as they seemed to think/say that this mess could go away.

I dealt with numberous people whose names I have forgotten. I want nothing to do with these people ever again. And though I will never get my money back, I do want to inform the public about them and their disceptions.

So, one year later and without a hint of a refund, I want to tell anyone even contemplating using them to NEVER waste their money on such deceptions, as these people employ.

I contacted many government agencies to inform them of the deceptions. AS is usual, their hands are "tied". Well, I will find every avenue that I can find to list what deceptive notions that this company employs. I wonder if they pay anything to the IRS??? Maybe I should call the IRS!!

I resolved my tax problems with a local tax attorney, paid out the IRS (now I have paid in full due to working alot of overtime which will cost me more taxes next year). But I would NEVER recommend any of these programs to anyone---no matter how desparate a person is. Save your money or just claim it as a loss on your taxes the next year ---like I was able to do. Had I paid the $3900.00 to the IRS, instead of American Tax Relief, I would have paid off my taxes alot faster!! Save that $3900.00 for the tax attorney and IRS instead of wasting it on this pathetic program and the people involved with this program (and don't get abused by their sales people when you try to get your money back).
