I ordered an r&r ecu for a 1989 dodge ram pu on 12/19/08. Money was immediately taken from my account. On 12/22/08 I called to change my order to an out right buy thinking it would be quicker than sending in my old one to be rebuilt. At that time I was told it would ship the next day.
The next day I looked at my account to see if money had been taken for the outright buy, it had not. I called Americore and was told the part would ship the following Monday. The following Monday I called to see check on the status of my order and was told it would ship no later than 1/5/09.
I called back a couple of days later and asked to speak to the manager. I was transferred to Danny Jackson's voice mail and left a message to be called back. I received no call. I called several times over the next couple of days was always transferred to Danny Jackson's voice mail. I finally got Danny Jackson on the phone and was told the part would ship no later than 1/12/09.
Today is 1/12/09 and I have left 4 messages with Danny Jackson (as he hung up on me this morning) and 2 messages with someone named Mike. I have never witnessed such poor customer service in my life. How a business like this is still in operation is a real mystery. I know some of these ecu are hard to find but DO NOT USE AMERICORE!! You will save a lot of headache and time if you just find one through a salvage yard.

Today is March 11, 2009 just a week short of three months I have dealing with these clowns. Over a month ago I spoke with Mike at AmeriCore Automotive Ind. And he assured me that my refund would be taken care of in the next few weeks. I haven't seen a dime from these scammers. As for the rebuttal from the anonymous employee he obviously didn't read the entire report I had written or he would have saw that the order was cancelled on the 12th and not the 9th (I have the paperwork to prove it.) and that was only because as of that day my part still wasn't going to be shipped and nobody seemed to know when it would. Don't buy these rebuttals they are writing, they are just doing a little CYA. I am not done with these guys yet; I will get my money back from these crooks.

Mr Ainsworth placed his order with us on 12/19/08. The order was for him ship us his vehicles main engine computer (ECU) and for us to remanufacture it and send it back. On 12/22/08 the customer called back and wanted to switch his order to an outright sale; meaning that we would pull one of the matching computers from our tock, remanufacture it and send it to them.
I am the one who spoke with Mr Ainsworth and The following are the exact notes from that call: customer calling for tracking info; "made aware we had to ship ecu from another warehouse to jax, then reman it, then ship. told to expect unit sometime between 1/5 and 1/12 (2-3wks from order) unless it has to be shipped to master electrician at another location which would be slightly longer."
The order was shipping out on 1/09/09 but the customer called to cancel before that date. We're sorry for the way that this issue transpired but we gave the customer realistic delivery time, even around Christmas and New Years.
