I signed up for Ameriscam, I mean, Ameriplan in the middle of July. The women who signed me up did not tell me about fees until she had my credit card number. There are fees everywhere! Broker fees, which at the time was only $35 dollars a month.
Then within one week after I signed up, without notice, the fees were raised to $50 a month. I know things are subject to change but the company didn't even give me a 24 hour notice. You have to buy your own selling materials. These items are pretty expensive considering that this company gets these things for pennies!
Once you receive the membership card, which takes them 3 weeks to mail, the savings are terrible. They probably don't really want you to know how bad the savings are for Ameriplan. Kinda funny that you can get your IBO kit within 2 days but your card can take weeks. The discounts really isn't a discount because the money you pay out for the IBO or membership card are awful and you are not breaking even or getting ahead.
I went to use the card at the pharmacy and I only saved .20 cents on my script. The dental plan only is a 20% saving in my area, not the 25%,50%,or 80% like the scamer told me. I poured $ into this company the 20% so called saving should go to the denist I like to see and not the very limited providers within the network.
Please read my story before you are scammed by Ameriscam, I mean Ameriplan. This is a legal pyramid scam. Multi-Level Marketing is not a business that makes any good money unless you put 80 hours a week into it & like ripping off other people. Please don't make the same mistake I did, stay away from Ameriplan! Oh, the say they are with the BBB, after I file with the BBB in Dallas they will have one more complaint to add to their list. They are not in the best standings with BBB, read the report.

Well I do have to say that I have never heard of those travel companies.
I myself have been with the company for over 2 years... I am making money and I am saving money.
I don't mean to ruffle feathers here but anytime you go into business for yourself you are going to have expenses... You have choices and the outcomes of these choices are yours to bear not anyone elses.
You made the choice to come into Ameriplan, I do not know your specific story as to why it didn't work for you. But most of the people on here want something for nothing and want someone to do the work for them.
As far as them raising the IBO fees... This was clearly stated as an announcement on their website 6 weeks before it happened. I guess you should have read through the News page of IBO support.
I have also used the benefits myself and have saved a lot of money.
Not to be rude but is it so hard to admit that you might be at blame here?? Even in the least?
Each team handles their new IBO's a little different. I hold each of them accountable but keep them up on the new stuff in the company. Is it my fault then if thy don't go to the corporate call or read my e-mail?
Had to put my 2 cents in

There are several companies where you can start for under $50.00. Just to name a couple: YTB your travel business is $49.00 a month, and GTI Global Travel Internatinal is $39.00 a month. Besides, I thought it was only $19.95 a month to get started.

$50.00 per month Overhead WOW!!!
AUTHOR: Jud - (U.S.A.)

Dee
I have been an AmeriPlan IBO for over two years now. I became an IBO after being a member. I was saving so much money with the plan and refering so many people that I figured I had better get involved and make some money with this. I had a root canal using AmeriPlan. The Root canal was done by an Endodontist. He charges $1495.00 for the the root canal but with AmeriPlan I only paid $325.00. I am a diabetic and normally would pay $285.00 per month for my perscriptions. With AmeriPlan I only pay $85.00. The plan works. In the past 2 years my family has saved thousands with the plan.
As far as the business goes, can you name me another business besides AmeriPlan that you can start for only $50.00? I can't think of another one besides AmeriPlan. Can you name me another business besides AmeriPlan that has only a $50.00 per month overhead?
I can't think of another one besides AmeriPlan. I have a buddy who owns a hot dog cart. he payed $5000.00 for the cart. He pays $750.00 a month to home depot to part that hot dog cart out in front of the store. He has to purchase hot dogs, and buns, and condoments , and chips, and sodas, and plates, and napkins every month to the tune of $2500.00 a month. Thats $3250.00 per month in overhead for a freakin hot dog cart. With AmeriPlan Your overhead is $50.00 a month.
When It comes to purchasing sales aids, I.E. Brouchures, DVD's and so on, let me ask you a question. If you bought a franchise today for 5.7 million or whatever it is they run for these days. Would you expect the franchise to pay for all of your product? I.E. Hamburger patties, buns, french fries, soda? Would you expect them to keep your books for you and pay the rent on your building? The answer is NO! Of course not! If you own your own business you have to reinvest in your business in the form of advertisment, product to sell so on and so on.
