I dont know where to begin,

There is a new phone company out there by the name of Amp'd Mobile. They have cool hip looking phones with "tv", "radio," and great features. I purchased this "hot new phone" in the Brea Mall from a "Ampd" store. The salesperson happily sold me a phone with accessories, etc. I was told that I would get the first two months free, and I could cancel if I was dissatisfied with the service within that time. I thought hey, thats not too bad I'll give it a try. So I signed up for the unlimmited plan(so I was told) that was suppose to be around a hundered dollars plus taxes for one phone, and bought one for my little brother too. So I paid a cancellation for my current phone to switch to this what I thought to be better for me with great service. I realized about ten minutes later, wait- I didnt sign an official contract, so i went back to get one. " Sorry our printer isnt working" I was told. "Well then what are you going to do?" If you come back tomorrow we can give you a contract." "ok." I said, "I will come back tomorrow" Well I came back and they didnt even know what the hell I was talking about? "Its fine do you really need one?" "Yes" "Are printer is having problems." I was so tired of going back and forth I thought what the hell who has time for this? I will have them mail it to me then. About a month and a half rolled around and I received no bill nor contract. So I figured I should call them. How can I call without a number? So I call 411, "um sorry mam there isnt an amp'd mobile listed." "No,that cant be i was just there" "well mam they didnt list then there number." So I was wondering how a large company wouldnt be listed. So I looked on the internet, finally found the number and called. I called to wait for three hours to speak with someone. I asked why I hadnt received a bill and I was told I wasnt in the system. Impossible if you gave me a phone with a transferred number. So I asked them to tranfer me. The next person said you are not in the system. So I asked why they told me that they didnt know why. I gave them my information and waited for a bill. Two more months....no bill yet. Called again. Three weeks later...a bill...one day later my phone was shut off...my bill was 1200 dollars...and now no phone. I currently am a realtor so my phone is my business. Time is money you know. I was furious, not to mention alot of other feeling. I called to resolve this issue. I was told to call back on monday on a friday. How can you send me my bill four months later...and one day after my bill turn it off? What I dont have any rights you cant just turn off a phone that I didn't even get a chance to pay? This is some bul***! I thought. I tried to pay the full amount in the meantime because that was my only option... and guess what? Their system was having problems call back on monday. Come on this is ridiculus. With all the fraud happening nowadays how can they expect you to be ok with this. Who gave "Ampd Mobile" aka "Crap Mobile" the right to stick someone with a bill without there full consent? Then stop them from using there phone, without effecient billing periods? Be rude to you on the phone when you are just a hardworking person trying to fix you phone issue? Then keep sending you bills when you cancel service? And now they tell me Im on an 18 month contract. Someone please help me this is out of countrol, Im sure Im not the only one. There has to be further action taken!

here we go again

Have you ever heard of T-Mobile? maybe Cingular? How about Verizon. Every company has 10,000 dealers each and guess what, not all of them are honest. you single out ampd because a bad dealer screwed you over. then you ask why i defend them. I have had problems before with every company. EVERY!!!!! so i'm sorry about what happened to you but to blame the whole company for a persons error is wrong. when ampd first came out you were only able to receive your bill via e-mail. what they probably did was put in a fake email just to activate and you never got the bill. you need to go to the bbb and file a complaint. they were the ones who did you wrong. i am not going to defend the company in all aspects but this one is just the error of the sales person. i have derected customers in the past to file with the bbb and it has always been resolved. good luck. and by the way, if you have ever had other carriers you should also know that you can have issues with any of them. so go to some other carrier, and i will be surprised if you never have a problem.

Have you filed with PUC

Contact the California Public Utility Commission. California is one of a handful of states which has a state governmental agency which will address cell phone complaints. In Texas, if a consumer does not receive a bill for a specified amount of time, the provider is required to give payment arrangements.

I would think your situation would be the same thing. Also, why not include phone records showing where you called all those times to them.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

If you really didn't sign anything...

AUTHOR: Ashleigh - (U.S.A.)

It seems like you could just take them to court and force them to prodcue something with your signature on it saying you agreeded to the terms stated.

Really, why would you pay something you hadn't agreed to?

OFFICIAL FACTS About AMPD Mobile

AUTHOR: Tanesha - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2007

1) Misrepresentation:TO GIVE A WRONG OR FALSE IDEA.

* no contract signed nor a copy of this so called contract.
* was told that I had two months of free service.
* if service wasnt to satisfaction I could cancel.
* you have to call them so they can have a record of you in
there system.
* they operate under a corporation, but no one takes
responsibility if the customer is having difficulties, and
was misrepresented.
2) Fraud: A CHEATING, TRICKING, OR LYING; DISHONESTY

* I called countless times for my bill.
* Customer service put you on hold long enough that you can
cook dinner, eat it, and do loads of laundry.
* I waited FOUR months for my first bill.
* They wouldnt let me cancel.
* When you ask to speak to a manager they tell you no.
* Still send bills after cancellation.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW!

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2007

First of all I dont think you can read. I didnt sign anything. Second obviously Im smart enough to know about contracts thats why I never signed one to begin with. Also I wouldnt be complaining even if that was the case if I wasnt charged for more than was authorized. This was a no strings attached service for a trial of two months so tell me why when I went to cancel I couldnt hmmm that sounds pretty obvious at the time of purchase. In the state of CALIFORNIA, 100.00 unlimited for a MONTH!! I would say thats sounds good out here when people live off there phone...next time read and understand more clearly. You should realize how many complaints are with this company before you point the finger

Contract

AUTHOR: Susan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2007

You had to have signed a contract at some point.

"unlimmited plan(so I was told) that was suppose to be around a hundered dollars plus taxes for one phone"

Around $100 a year for unlimited is a red flag.

WHAT A BAD INVESTMENT!

AUTHOR: Tanesha - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2007

First of all read it again, second how can I get a bill emailed to me if they didnt have my email? Nor an address, or furthermore any record of me. Third, why would you try to defend a company that has some dealers that arent honest- they still represent your company whether or not it was you. Also if you check your "company" or whatever you want to call it doesnt let you cancel they commit you to an unauthorized 18 month agreement.

I am not the only ripped off person, and I am not the only bad experienced person, Im sure Im just one of the many who actually took the time to fight back. Next time you want to defend a company who has fraudulent contractual procedures you should do your research, and realize just because you run your "3" locations out of thousands with some integrity, there are still thousand getting ripped off!

AMP"D MOBILE DID NOT RIP YOU OFF!!

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 10, 2007

Well then. i am an AMP'D dealer and own 3 locations. i have sold ampd since day one and you DID NOT get ripped off by AMP'D. What you got was a shady dealer representing AMP'D and not doing a good job of it. AMP'D has 2 billing options. E-Mail or regular mail. you were put on e-mail and they emailed the bill to you, thus you not receiving the bill in the mail. if the dealer had properly did everything you would have been fine. AMP'D had nothing to do with the situation. AMP'D has no corporate stores so dealers are on the front line. Most of us are honest, some not. But to blame the entire company for ony A**Hole is a bit extreme. You had a bad experience, so did I. don't come here to blame AMP'D for this. You should have cancelled if you didnt get your contract. Thats against the law not to have you sign one or give you a copy. You are a realtor, you should know about contracts!!!!!!!!! So the moral of the story is DONT BLAME THE CARRIER FOR YOUR PROBLEMS!!!!!!!! They e-mailed you the bill and you didn't get it thatnks to the DEALER NOT AMP'D!!!!!
Thank YOU for the NICE COMMENT!!(sarcasm)
