Amscot Someone robbed them so they robbed me orlando, Florida

Sometime last year i was sitting at home when i was handed a letter from amscot.  Curious i opened it, only to be informed i owed them 187 dollars for cashing a check in an amscot ive never been to, from a person ive never heard of, in a city i wasnt in at the time.  I, of course, call to inform them that, no, i do not owe you any money you need to check your facts.  Months of arguing follow where they are telling me i hve to prove it wasnt me. I disagree, since they cashed the check, fingerprinted someone and had video of it all.  Id say the ball is pretty much in their court.  My id had been stolen and about a nomth later someone was caught with it in the midst of a huge fraud ring.  So i call amscot and let them know about it and tell them to have a nice day.

Flash forward 1 year later.  I am down to about a 300 dollar check being all the money i have in this world.  Not even thinking about it i go to Amscot to cash it because im on foot and need the money to even get home.  Tey took the money.  AFTER, i had called them, after someone has been convicted for fraud using my id.  Now im on the phone with them ive faxed them police reports, victim reports and even had them on the phone with the police department.

But heres the kicker. The person was caught with my id cashing checks a month later in a different county.  So now i hvae to prove, without video evidence and off a check copied on a copier for fingerprint.  That it wasnt me.  Because they werent caught with that check or in that county , HOW DO THEY KNOW IT WASNT ME?

Im at a loss.  They wont do anything unless i can get a detective to solve a year and a half old case with no evidence really remaaining against a person whos already in prison for years for over 18 counts of a similar charge.  Guess how hard theyre going to pursue that? Any help or ideas is appreciated.
