Anthem College High Tech Institute Instuctors were hateful and intimidating! I wasn't allowed to retake on test in order to graduate when I had ACED everything else! Irving, Texas

I hope that someone uses my story for legal puposes as well. In fact I discovered on my credit this last week that I still owe money for attending High Tech Institute. I admit, that I learned quite a bit in Dental Assisting, however that when I was ready to graduate, they had me set up my extern. I set up my extern with my childhood dentist and had a date to start and everything. Two days before I was ready to start the extern they pull me in the office and tell me that, I'm sorry but you didn't pass the administration test so you aren't going to be able to go to extern! I asked them if I could retake the test and they said no. I had aced every chores with at least an 80 or above besides administration and I didn't even plan to work in administration, I wanted to be chairside. So I cried horribly because I had just found out that I was pregant not too long before all of this and they knew that. They simply would not let me retake the test! I was so embarrassed to have to contact my childhood dentist and apologise. Then a month later I paid to take a class through Baylor College of Dentistry to get my registration with them. I was successful but unfortunatley once I got that, my dentist didn't have any openings, so I was back at square one and 2 months pregnant. I also was already showing at this time, early because of the way that I'm built so it was really difficult to find anybody to hire me. I finally was forced to move closer to my parents and got hired at 6 months pregnant. They fired me three weeks before I was induced because they said I wasn't catching on and that I sit down and stand around too much. Really the reason that they fired me is because I changed the trash cans two days before and discoved bloody gloves in the regular trash can and I asked why they were in there and not in biohazard. They said that was the only patient we had today. I said I don't care if that was the only patient we had and that only patient had a full mouth extraction and was Hep B and Hep C positive and I was prenant cleaning out the trashcans so I think they took that as a liability that I said somthing about it. In the state of Missouri a person does not have to be registered of certified to be a dental assistant so basically, I am over qualified because I know the infection control laws and such. That was the only dental assisting job I had and now my daughter is nearly 3. I'm still being charged over $6,000 to attend High Tech after they did what they did to me. I still to this day wish I would have went somewhere else to learn that. The instuctors were very hateful and intimidating!!
