The Chubb Institute Anthem college. Deceptive Parsippany New Jersey

For one, I don't "live above my means". I live a very poor life. I rent out a room and work a crappy minimum wage job. I save every penny I can pay all my bills on time, and have hardly any money due to the high cost ot rent/food/bills. I don't live above my means as you say, do you live pay check to pay check on a mimimum wage job? trying dloing it for a few years and you will sing different tune. 

Does it really matter if 20 grand would open me a sucessfull business? The point is these people trick people into gong to the school with their 96 % job placement rate, and their easy tests that everone passes. Their job placement is a joke the lady did nothing for me no effort what so ever and basically told me to "just go online and look". I went to this school because of the high job placement they promised and lied about.  They take advantage of people and make them think they have a future.

BTW i can't get a job 'at the bottom' becauise i don't have any work experience in the field i went for 'graphic design' no one will hire anyone without 2 years experience or a full on degree. Can't get the experience without a job can't get a job without the experience. What you see here is a catch 22. Also that 20 grand wasted on this scam of a school could have went into a better education somewhere else or even just saved for the future. I wish i knew than how invalueble a 'certificate' in this field really is. 

On a bright sight, you have learned that not every college is as good as what they seem to be. Even if the school owner was not changed, do you think your nice looking portfolio will actually help you get a job? The college reputation is a big and major factor in consideration. If you have gone to Chubb, I am not so sure that anyone who knows what the college is would hire you for the job you are expecting. Also, do you think that $20,000 you got in 2005 would make you a successful business person? The economy went down about a year after that and stayed down for a few years. I doubt that your $20,000 would actually be enough for a start up business to get pass that time because it is very likely that a new small business would go bankrupt during that time.

At least you can start your life now and do not need to worry about school. Forget about going back to school again unless you are going to a public school! Do NOT choose an easy way out to go to those for-profit or private online school that will give you no education but lip services and take a chunk of your money again. You should try to find a job at a very bottom position of whatever field you want to go to. The bottom means the job that may not require a college degree to get in. Do NOT expect or apply to a big company but rather a small/local company. A big company always comes with high expectation but low pay unless you are in the elite position (high expectation with extremely high paid but take no resposibility when things went down). Once you have gained a few year experiences in the field, you will have a much better resume to apply for a better and higher job. Eventually, it will be a career. Don't jump start or have overestimate yourself but rather surprise them what you can do that is better than their expectation!

One last thing, do NOT live above or even around your mean! Do live much lower than your mean! In other words, if you earn $1,000 a month, plan to have at most $800 a month or lower for your monthly expenses (rent, food, transportation, taxes, etc). If you think that you can earn $1,000 a month and spend it all because you hope to earn more (get a raise), then you are living above your mean!
