Appliance Doctor Kevin/Keith Appliance Doctor Takes The Money and Runs! Internet

Hired The Appliance Doctor to repair my washer. Service call was $79.95 but would be waived if he was hired to do the repair. Came out, stayed 15 minutes, replaced what he said was a spring and charged us $179.95!

Not two weeks later, washer was doing the same malfunction. Tried on numerous occasions to contact him and ask for help -- no returned call. On two of the occasions, no one answered the phone. When I called him back about 6 pm, he said he had "just called" and could not get anyone to answer our phone. I asked if he could come out and fix the problem, he said he could not get out until the following week.

I expressed that this was not adequate and I asked him why he did not answer his phone -- his response was "I wanted to eat my dinner in peace." He further stated that he did not have to listen to me telling him he did not repair the washer properly. I said that I may have to contact an attorney but I felt like I was due a refund of my money. He stated, "you'll not get a dime back from me!"

We bought a new washer to avoid further issues with this person. I feel that I am at least due the $100 for the part since obviously that was not the problem. His work is supposedly guaranteed. While his ads call other repair services "quacks", he seems to be one.

Lesson learned, don't go on Craigslist and expect to get a quality repairman. He's totally dishonest and is definitely not qualified (or trained as he puts it in his ads and on his web site) to be in business.
