 Sorry but its ASSUMED that YOU understood that by being placed as a RESPONSIBLE PARTY to be able to do things like getting power turned back on, that YOU would be the person paying IF the main person DID NOT pay what they owed. Its no different then being asked to co sign for a loan. The power to be able to modify an account means YOU AGREED to all of this. While yes it sucks, YOU may have no recourse but to pay the bill and then go after that person in small claims court. But a JUDGMENT is NOT payment. Meaning that even if you win your case against THEM for failing to pay THIER BILL doesnt mean that YOU are going to get that money back. SO its up to YOU how YOU want to handle the situation. either way YOU need to have yourself removed from thier account so YOU are NOT financially responsible.
