 I have been paying premiums for my dog for over 10 years. He got sick, and through some unfortunate circumstances, passed away. The total for his care was $8200. I promptly filed a claim, and after several follow ups where they claimed they didn't get it, they acknowledged receipt of the claim. After several weeks, I got a check for $1800 and an explanation sheet showing they were only paying a portion of each invoice as they pay what they feel is a "reasonable " amount for my area. I explained that my vet was the largest in the area, very reasonable, and would never overcharge their customers.

They also claimed my dogs issues were all related and therefore subject to an "incidence cap". There were three very different issues, but I got the entire runaround about how all anatomy is connected. I should have cancelled them when I had another claim fit my other dog when they tried to say his cancer was precondition when I had been paying on the policy for over six years at that point and he had gotten a clean bill of health at each of his yearly checkups. Only when my vet intervened did they pay that claim. Save your money! Don't waste it on this company that will only deny your legitimate claim and cause you more heartache. You are better off taking the money and investing it in something that you will get some returns. Cannot emphasize enough what a ripoff this company is.
