aspen dental tried to up sell me . lexington,sc sc

I called ASPEN a few days ago and told them I had insurance and needed new dentures. I let them know I had $1,000 of insurance for dentures. The lady I spoke with said no problem we have a set of dentures on sale for a little over $800. I made an appointment. When I was filling out the paperwork the wanted me to sign a paper that stated I had been explained the cost of the dentures.

Well, I wasn't except for what I was quoted on the phone. So I did not sign it. The young lady that I was working with got my insurance card and said to me lets do the Xrays while we are waiting for the insurance company. I explained to her I could not pay any out of pocket money.

I said ok as long as the dentures were not going to cost me any out of pocket money. She said there were 2 types of dentures they normally would pay for and that I would be ok. When the price finally came up it was over $1800 for the dentures that were on sale for a little over 800. I had no teeth to pull just new dentures. She told me I needed to pay $800.

Now tell me why I needed to pay $800 when the dentures were on sale for $800 AND MY INSURANCE PAYS $1000? Her answer was oh the sale price is only for people without insurance. Now I know why our insurance is so high. Needless to say, I reported them to my insurance companies' grievance department. I'm a 70-year-old woman on just social security. The $800 they wanted for my dentures is more than my social security for a month.

I hope people will read the reviews before they go to aspen on sunset blv. in Lexington, sc. Shame on you ASPEN. I guess I will wear these 50 year old dentures until they bury me.
