asplundh Tree Butchers! carmel IN

Tree Butchers! We had a 30 year old Norway spruce growing near the property line. It was approx.  50 feet, in perfect shape, excellent health!  Met with Indianapolis Asplundh when told it had to be "topped off" to allow 10' clearance for new Duke lines being installed. Was assured would only take off top, and do everything to save the tree...no damage would be caused as the width I was told would not be a problem, it had enough clearance...   Instead, we found tree not only topped off, but shaved BALD from top to bottom all along front & sides....left limbs on backside only.

 It is now lop-sided and looks ridiculous. Stands out like sore thumb given they left most of the height too! Turned a gorgeous 30 years old Spruce into an eyesore. No way to repair this damage and true heartbreak for this once beautiful tree. Will most likely die now, causing a great expense for us to tear down, and no way to replace. .will take another 30 years.   Asplundh needs to better train employees not to be butcher happy. They hold themselves out as "tree experts" - hardly what we've seen.
