We own a small electrical service company in Kentucky. We are called constantly on our business line and cell phones by "Atlas Contractors" trying to sell us saw blades and first aid kits. We have a feeling this is not their real name.

The calls began last fall. They will not speak with me, the female partner in the business. They will only speak with my husband. They called him many times and he told them politely he was not interested. They keep talking at this point and eventually the only thing you can do is hang up on them.

Halloween night 2007, a salesman called and hubby told him quit calling, not interested. He went on to tell my husband that I was having an affair with the salesman (you can imagine the exact wording of having an affair) and he was with me tonight. Many other vulgarities were slung and then he stopped cursing and began to tell him about their products again. Needless to say, the caller would give no information and the caller ID was anonymous.

They have continued to call and still won't speak to me so I pretended to be hubby last night. I spoke with "Seth" and he tried to sell me first aid kits and gator blades...I told him I had another call and I would be right back and proceeded to hang up on him.
I have heard so many names for the salesmen that I cannot keep track of them any longer. The name changes every time they call. Something needs to be done about these people. They have no regard for reputable business, privacy or reputation. I have to wonder why on Earth he thought my husband would consider buying his crap after he told him he was having an affair with his wife....Oh come on.. I was only kidding...now let me tell ya about our Gator Blades.....(click)

Same thing happened to me

AUTHOR: Uiucstudent - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, November 20, 2008

I am part owner of a small construction company and a very similar thing just happened to me. A man called, with unknown on the caller ID, and asked for my father. I asked him what company he was from, and he said, very quickly "Atlas Contractors". I asked where was the company located (bc we do not do business with Atlas anything) and he stumbled a bit and said our state. I said he is not in, may a take a message.

He rudely replied that he was "trying to get a bid out" and he needed to speak with him, and then asked for his cell phone. I asked who he was, again, and he started to get angry with me. He asked me if I wanted to get my nails done, or my hair done, and to give him the cell phone number. I said, no, I'll have him call you back. He very angrily replied, "it doesn't work that way, I'll someone else the business" and hung up. Very strange, and I have no phone number to report.

These guys are awful

AUTHOR: Chip - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 22, 2008

They call me 3 times a week, can be verbally abusive, call in spite of numerous requests not to be called. I report these guys to donotcall each time. It's a good thing they don't live close, they have an appointment with a baseball bat.
Report these guys to donotcall complaints, it can't hurt.
