I found this website while looking for ways to get out of my mortgage with...you guessed it Aurora Loan Services.

In December 2008, I was advised by my employer that I would be receiving a 20% pay cut. Realizing what was on the horizon, I contacted Aurora's Refi Department to see if I can get a better interest rate. After speaking with the loan specialist, I learned that I could not refi because the value of my house was significantly less that what I owed. It was suggested to me to contact Aurora's Home Retention Group to pursue a loan modification

In January 2009, I contacted the Home Retention Group and spoke with a "specialist". She advised me that because I'd received a cut in pay, a modification was a viable option. She also made sure to inform me to "keep my mortgage current" because it would "help" me with getting the modification.

After getting all of the necessary documentation together, I submitted my Loan Workout Package and waited and waited and waited. After two and a half months of waiting, I decided to call and like so many other of you here, was given the run-around. About three or four days after calling, I received a letter stating that I'd been rejected, with no explanation. I had to call again to find out that I was rejected because of a surplus. I went over my financial statement with another "specialist" and learned that there was an error on Aurora's part (they made mistakes on the reporting of several of my expenses), which pissed me off, I was denied because of their mistake. Hindsight being 20/20, this was merely a tactic on their part to screw me over.

In May 2009, I reluctanly acquired the services of a Real Estate Attorney to help with this aggravating situation. Again, all of my information was submitted and I waited. In June 2009, Aurora requested updated financial information, which gave me some hope. However, my bubble was burst about two weeks ago after another month of waiting I received yet another letter from Aurora denying my request for a modification. This time my modification request was denied because of an "inability to afford your mortage payments", despite the fact that I'm still current. So, in 6 months, my status went from having a surplus to not having enough, when my income and expenses remained the same. Just another way for a large corporation to screw over the working class who helped build this country.

Aurora is no better than the common thief or hood, they're just able to get away with it, I second, third and fourth the motion, CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
