Aurora Loan Services Escrow Nightmare Scottsbluff Nebraska

Over a year ago, I lost my job and my homeowners policy came due at the same time. I paid approximately a week late, but my insurance company canceled my policy for non-payment. I was actually paid ahead by several months at the time of cancelation, because of the way the payment plan worked. I was to pay the full year's premiums within four months. I had made three payments, so technically I was paid up for another 3 months unless the insurance company issued a refund.

Aurora Loan Services received the notice of cancelation and sent me threatening letter stating they would place coverage if I didn't obtain it myself. I wasn't going to obtain other coverage until my existing insurance company refunded my premiums. Approximatey three months later I received a refund from my former insurance coverage in the amount of one month's premiums. I obtained other coverage for less than 1/2 the cost my former insurance company charged me, however I had problems getting the coverage and it took almost three months to get it corrected, with the new company giving me retro coverage from April 1, 2008.

In the meantime, Aurora Loan Services placed coverage for over 2 times the amount of my old policy and almost 4 times the amount of my new. They established an escrow account and assessed me payments of over $1,600.00 per month for the insurance. It took numerous attempts to get them to correct this and ultimately taking them over three months to credit the escrow. They applied the coverage retro back the beginning of the year and still have not credited the escrow for that amount even though I technically had coverage.

Now they did the same thing with my property taxes. I paid them late because of job losses, but did pay them in full in July. Now they have assessed my escrow account in the amount of 16,000.00 for this year and next years taxes they claim to have paid on my behalf. I have refused to pay the escrow because I already paid the taxes and have proof of payment.

I am now being threatened with foreclosure because I am only paying the regular monthly payment, which I am not delinquent in paying. Aurora has destroyed my credit by reporting me as being late on my mortgage, which I am not. I am willing to assist whomever and do whatever it takes to get this corrupted organization shut down.
