Most loan mod companies off the record will say to quit making your payments to get a loan mod. Friends that have obtained a loan mod say the same exact thing. We have twice been denied a loan mod with Aurora. I recently obtained an appraisal by the same company the lender used 2.5 years ago. Our then CA. $879K home has a current value of less then $465K with $650K in loans. Our retirement income is way up there to where we can make the payments. Call, give your name, street address and zip. Within minutes they will tell you if your loan is a gov't. insured loan. IF it is not hopefully you will have a better chance of a loan mod. It would be nice if some folks that obtained an Aurora loan mod did a posting. We lost our home fire in 1994. Went to the Oakland Hills fire loss people meetings and it really saved our butt. By all sharing info on each others claims we really came out ahead of Allstate big time.
