We contracted Avenue Social to develop a Facebook app for our business in September 2012.

 

Since contracting this company we have been surprised at the poor level of business, especially since their website makes them look very professional, with an attractive clientele.

 

The first design submitted for the app was at an extremely low level. After complaining we were given another designer and accepted the designs.

 

We have paid four instalments to date:

Invoice 28618 for $1650 on September 20, 2013

Invoice As10045 for $550 on October 30, 2012

Invoice As01009 for $1,100 on January 9, 2013

Invoice As02007 for $1650 on February 13, 2013

 

We are being pressured for the final 10% and yet what they've presented as a "final product" is incredibly sloppy, lacks basic functionality (ie everything the app is supposed to do does not work), is full of grammatical errors, spelling errors and just does not work. The app looks different in different browsers.

 

When we present a list of things that are wrong with the app they write back to say that they have fixed them and when we check again, it's not fixed.

 

This is incredibly disappointing and not alarming. I have seen a complaint filed against them on ripoffreport.com

 

I suspect this business may be fradulent. They list their address as California, have a stunning list of clientele and a fantastic website, yet the quality of the work does not match in any way with what they present themselves to be. Needless to say, everyone you interface with in the company is in Pakistan, and they won't ever admit to their true location.

 

They are scamming people out of money and pretending to be something that they are not and this is not right.

Avenue Social is not a fraud company

My name is Joe and I am handling the support team for Avenue Social. Our company is in no way a fraud company. As per your complain I have reviewed your contract with the team. Our payment structures are based on milestones achieved in a project and you only pay us after you approve a milestone. This is stated in the contract as well. Why did you make so many different installments payments if the milestones were not delivered. The only reason the last 10% payment was being billed was to launch the app for which you paid us.

It happens all the time, we launch the app for clients and then they end up not paying us as this is an intangible product and not a physical product. It also happens many times that clients starts a project and then has a change of mind and even though we have put in the hours they just want a refund and if not given they defile our companys name. Please email us on our support if you have any complains and we will solve them.
