I was told I would be receiving a"  free cruise" and 4 nights stay in a nice resort. When asked if this was a "timeshare" they assured me it was not and this was just their way of showing me thieir properties so that I would be enticed to come back again. Ok, I have been on many cruises before and have enjoyed myself a lot. The only expenses, I was told was $118 port charges,  $18 fuel charges, $12 a day to clean my room and taxes, etc.  I was also to be given a rental car for 7 days free of charge. Sounds reasonable to me, because I knew I would be paying airfare to get to Florida.

My family wanted to come along, so I told them to pay their own airfare, and come along.  Right off the bat I found out that everything they had told me was a lie, and that there was numerous hidden charges, fees, etc. ( There was 7 of us altogether)

The hotel was a dump (not a resort) but oh, they insisted we had to see the "presentation" or we would pay full price for everything.  It,  of course was a time share. And they were very rude when we insisted we were not buying.

We were giving food vouchers for food that was awful, and we still had to pay taxes and gratuities on buffets for each person. ( The food was so bad, it was not worth paying the taxes on, so we ended up buying our own food most of the time)

All that time I kept thinking, ok, when we get on the "cruise ship" we will finally get to eat good. ( I have been on other cruises with Carnival and everything was wonderful.) What a rude awakening!!

After being charged $421 on the ship($18 for fuel charges for each person , and $24
per person for maid service) and other hidden charges, We were more than ready to come home. If I had never been on a cruise before, I would never go on one again. The total cost of this dreadful mistake was over $7,000, much less than I had paid in the past for nice vacations.

This was the worst vacation I had ever been on, and the worst week of my life. I am almost retired now, and I don't know if I will ever go on a vacation again. I will forever be warning people about this scam and telling people to never deal with Bahamas Celebration. Yes, I was very stupid and feel like a total idiot, but I hope to prevent someone else from ruining their family vacation and being robbed of so much money. I am so heartsick, I'm physically ill.
