I worked as A Personal Trainer from 2009-2012 at Bally total fitness on kings highway in brooklyn and witnessed very disturbing incidents: The gym is owned by crooks, the pool is not cleaned properly, has semen and feces swimming in the pool and hot tub, Men put ads on craiglist for gay men to meet them in the men locker rooms in the bathrooms to have sex with each other and oral sex. Semen stains on the benches in the steam and dry sauna. Fungus on the floor causes athletes feet if you walk bear foot on the floor. Front desk staff is rude. Staff infection and bacteria causes rash on the face and eyes if you touch the handles on the equipment and dumbells and barbells. The place is very un sanitary. Ac does not work in summer time. Clients sometimes pass out from the heat. In winter time thermostat is broken and it gets so hot that clients pass out.
