Banana Republics Deceptive Practices To Getting Consumer To Sign Up For A Credit Card. 

After purchasing almost $300 worth of clothes I attempted to pay at the store. They convinced me to sign up for a credit card to get a discount. I confirmed with the rep that they would be charging my card, not theirs. The rep confirmed that is correct. A month or so later I received the credit card in the mail.

A few days following that I received a collection call saying I owe them money. I attempted to get the situation cleared up an neither the Orland Park store or Banana Republic themselves would waive the fees or interest. The credit is obviously a scam to nail you for credit card fees and interest. Don't apply for the credit card and I would advise strongly to reconsider doing business with a company that has such shady tactics.
