Bank Atlantic will clear checks and reverse them later on another day to cause an overdraft. Checks are suppose to be processed in the order the banks receive them.

I was told this type of procedure is done to clear the largest check first. They know this will cause all the other checks to overdraft and do this on purpose.
If they cleared the checks in the order they received them, that would be honest. Laws should be enacted to protect us against this rip-off.

This can't be legal! If this is not legal maybe a lawyer can be found to start a class action lawsuit to return the monies they stole from us. This also causes a lot of mental stress on the customer and their families.

It really shouldn't matter.

It shouldn't matter the order they post if you had enough money in the bank to cover what you spend.

I can see an attorney going into court. "Your honor, my client only meant for 1 check to bounce, but since the bank changed the posting order, 10 items bounced instead. The bank is deliberately trying to steal from my client."
