Band of America has an automated system where you can renew your ATM card if it is defective but they have it set up to charge you $5.00 for the defective replacement ATM card. If you opt out of the VRU and talk to someone on the phone, they can defer the charges. I think its unfair for them to change money for the replacement cards because the consumer shouldnt have to pay for ATM cards that do not work right.
