For the last 14 months Bank of America has been taking $20.00 per month for a Advantage account that I did not sign on for. The account requires a $5,000.00 min balance in your checking. Wish I had 5,000. laying around. After arguing for about 20 minutes they agreeed I had not authorize the account and they refunded $60.00 (out of $280.00). I told them the balance was due me. They agree but simply put I was out of luck...I should have told them sooner. The way I see it Bank of America went in to my account and took my money ..... where I come from that is stealing.

Watch your statements and don't trust then.

why did you wait?

AUTHOR: Nancy - (U.S.A.)

WHY did you wait 14 months to notify the bank. IF you really did reconcile your bank account every month, YOU should have found it he first month and said something. SO it is your own fault for waiting so long.

Follow your own advise...

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

The service charge is on your account statement. If you claim it is not, then your statement would never have balanced because there would always be an extra $20 unaccounted for. In this case you should have been on the phone with them the first month you had this account. But we can be sure since you let it go for 14 months you did not follow your own advise and read your statement.

They refunded you the previous 90 days which is about standard.
