BAOTECH, BAO GROUP, Contractors go UNPAID, BAOTECH says check is in the mail. Plainview New York

I performed as a web developer contractor representing BAOTECH for American Quarter Horse Association. The people at American Quarter Horse were very happy with the end product and as far as they knew, BAOTECH came through for them. But they still have not come through for me. Getting paid was like pulling teeth from these people. When all was said and done, I still have not been paid $2200 for my final check. After numerous calls and promises from Cindy Piscopio (their payroll clerk) that a check was forthcoming, still no check. It has been a year and now I can't get through to anybody to even get a 1099.
If you need contract or temp staffing, don't deal with these people, they are slimy and undependable. If you are a contract programmer, don't bother unless you don't mind doing your work for free.
