Bay Area Remodelers Bay Area Remodelers Built Sun Room without properly removing sprinkler line causing whole house to flood Clearwater, Florida

I contracted Bay Area Remodelers to build a Sun Room addition to my home towards the end of 2006.  It took them over 6 months to permit and begin construction.  In 2007 they went to pour the concrete slab.  Instead of removing sprinkler lines, they capped off one of the heads and assured me it would be sufficient.  Last week we came home to a house flooded with water.  It destroyed 2 brand new hardwood floors and caused extensive drywall damage in 4 of our rooms.  A professional plumber assessed our situation and found it was the sprinkler line that Bay Area Remodelers capped off.  The cap failed and forced water up between the main concrete slab of the house and the new concrete slab that they installed.  When I called Bay Area Remodelers and informed them about this situation, they were extremely rude and told me and said "it took you 4 years to notice a problem?".  They then said "what do you want from us, money!?"  I said, no I want you to fix the incompetence of your work.  They then told me to "F off" that we have no claim with them.  This company prided itself on a lifetime warranty of their work.  MY insurance company estimates about 25-30k worth of damage to my home as a result.  My insurance also won't cover repair of the sprinkler system since they only cover the damage, not the cause.

Bay Area Remodelers is a very unethical, immoral company that I recommend staying away from at all costs!
