Beepers and Phones HORRIBLE!!

I purchased a wired hands free accessory from this business. Upon using the product for the first time I discovered that it delivered an extremely muffled sound. With the only receipt I was given (just a credit card receipt) my husband attempted to return this item to the store. He was told by an associate that the store had a 'no return' policy and advised that should be on our larger receipt. (Which we were not given.) The associate also could not produce a sample of the receipt nor was the policy posted anywhere in the store. He was told that he would have to come back and speak to the owner/manager, Tom Crews, that Friday or Saturday. On Saturday I called to speak to Tom who was 'in a meeting.' I confirmed that Tom would be there all day (they closed at 8pm) and was told that yes he would be there all day up to close. I put my child in the car and drove the 30 minutes to the store. Was Tom there when I arrived? Nope. He left to go to the Ocala store. Apparently this was my fault because I didn't leave my number -- not because the associate failed to communicate the correct information. (It seems that with this business they are all right and everything I did was wrong.) At that point I demanded that he call Tom which he did. Tom was extremely curt and flatly refused to return my money for this defective product. He acknowledge that it was an error that I did not receive the receipt and that he did not have this policy posted -- yet still stood by his 'policy.' There were no apologies just too bad.' He did offer to give a store credit or allow me to exchange the item for something else -- the problem is there is nothing else I needed. I already own all of the accessories for my phone. Basically my choice is to be out $30 and have a useless item while he pockets my hard earned money. Nice business practice, Beepers and Phones. Buyer Beware!!
