Bernard Haldane And Associates fraudulent selling and service practices Memphis Tennessee

Bernard Haldane and Associates have been classified in several states to be scam artists. Unfortunately my husband and I did not disover this until after we had paid them several thousand dollars. They are advertised to be an employment service. What was presented at the initial "selling" point of the 3 year contract was deceptive. They took advantage of us at a very vulnerable time. They used words like "before we send you on an interview, we will send you to that company's competitor." They never sent him anywhere. They gave him a list of companies and told him to call them and ask to meet with them. No help from them in that area at all.

We were also told "we will be able to help you find your (my husband)dream job, help negotiate your salary and sign-on bonus. All you need to do is put their fee on our credit card. When the sign-on bonus was negotiated, that will pay the credit card back. You will only have to pay the interest on it until we find you a job."

We basically paid several thousand dollars for resume coaching and some personality tests. That was it.

The company has been banned from several states and has had to refund a lot of their fraudulent charges. Reference to that information is located on CBS Evening News web site dated October 24, 2003.

After several requests for a copy of the contract we signed, we have yet to receive one. We have asked at least four times explaining that we want it to have it reviewed by our attorney.

We have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. They will attempt to get our money back. If they do not succeed, we will proceed with our attorney.
