This Best Buy store will ask you to sign up for $5 rebates while checking out, along with it you will recieve free magazine subscriptions. What they do not mention is to cancel these subscriptions asap, otherwise within a couple of months or so, your checking account will be bombarded with $30 - $55 withdrawls for magazines you didn't really want in the first place. You only wanted the $5 gift certificate. It is a terrible thing for Best Buy to be conducting. I wouldn't have expected it from them, however companies change. Majority of companies big and small will eventually give in to greed, and those particular companies will lose business, starting with mine and hopefully yours.

While we may have freedom of speech (which isn't entirely true as there are limitations), it is not free of cost.  The blood, sweat and tears of millions of Americans are the currency that pays that bill.

They can't charge your credit card unless you give them your credit card information and agree to terms. Whenever anyone is offering you free money, you ALWAYS need to read the terms. All trials expire and then charge you afterward, that's what 'free trail' means.
The internet is full of people who forgot to cancel a subscription or account and then get pissed when the companies don't decide to cancel for them.
