Did the billing company HSBC, contracted by Best Buy, purpously loose my $10 payment in order to charge me a $39 late fee? The check was mailed on 10/10/09, eleven days before the due date. I asked them why I would have not made a ten dollar payment knowing the late fee would be more than that. I have a stellar credit rating. Also, why would the virus protection that Best Buy recommended and sold me give a virus alert before entering HBSC's web site? Why woud Best Buy, an electronics retail firm for crying out loud, not have the ability to accept an instore payment? Would it be that it helps them make people late on their "No Interest" payments, and then they can charge you 24%? Never again will I buy from Worst Buy.

Oops, I Did It Again

I f**ked up and went ahead and bought something from best buy after swearing to God never, ever to buy from them again, after having to dealing with hsbc. Posted before, about how it took 11 to 13 days for my payments to get from TX to CA and get credited to my account. 8 months ago bought a TV for $500 on a 12 month no interest deal. Have been paying them $50+ per month. Now the amazing thing is for the first 7 months, it takes either TWO or THREE days for my payment to get from TX to CA AND get credited to my account. I think to myself, Wow, hsbc finally got it's act togeather. Then, last month what happens? 11 days later they finally credit my account and hit me with a late fee of $29. Mailed the payment 8 days prior to the due date. Called hsbc and got some ESL witch from mumbai who agreed to waiver HALF the late fee. Stupid me. Just pay the balance off at the store and NO MORE best buy. After they dicked me over, the old lady wanted a Wii and a Wii fitness plus. Bought it from someone other then best buy. No mas best buy for me.

I read your report and wanted to add that I went in the store today to pay my bill and had to PAY $1.99 to pay my bill! I have filed a report on here, too, and hope others read it before obtaining a Best Buy credit card that they will have to pay to pay their bill. I will be looking into a class action suit for fees charged to pay your bill. If you would like me to contact you if a suit is filed, please let me know.

HSBC is an independent company from best buy. you can only use the card at best buy, however. no need to be angry at best buy at all. The only contact their system has with HSBC is that they charge your credit card when you buy something.
I know you are angry at best buy, but dont be. i isnt their fault
