Best Egg False advertisement, switch and bait, sends multiple preapproval offer letters per month to me in the mail only to decline my application. Wilmington Deleware

Best Egg sends me multiple preapproval letters every month advsing they can consolidate my debt with a personal loan at a lower rate.  I've applied with them twice and each time I''ve been declined. 

Additionally, Best Egg do not make it convenient to opt out, of their service.  They make you call a number that asks for additional informtion in order to do so. 

I did not seek out Best Egg, they are seeking me out,  It's quite annoying.  I believe this is a switch and bait operation and borderline harrasment.

It is not Best Egg's fault that either your credit score, debt to income ratio, or credit history was in such a state that warranted you not being approved for any rates.

 

You do have a point though, that the wording on the "Pre approval" letter could be less misleading.

Best Egg You are correct about misleading and allowing consumers to believe, through strategic wording that thier credit score would not be affected..also in their rebutle against the other complainer, they are misleading saying your credit rate wont be affected. When you actually wont know your true credit rate until the do the hard hit. They get 5.99 percent in fees off the top..and your credit rate could be higher than your existing credit card rates as much sd 29.99 percent. I am happy the other person posted  the info...I chose to not sign up. All I can say is read the entire paper before signing up. Internet
