I bought a Sony 46" LCD TV model- KDL46S4100 at BestBuy store in Secaucus, NJ. it was arounf 6:30 in the evening.
When I brought it home and connect it, I noticed cracks over the screen, only some of them you can notice at the bottom but when the TV is on you clearly see it stretched all over.
I called BestBuy yesterday evening and was told to bring it back to store or call your 1-888 number.
I brought it, next day in the morning back to the BestBuy store where we bought the product, but the store manager, Mr. Marcel Gomez had the nerve to tell us that he refuses to take it back since the TV is damaged but he does not see external damage on the box, suggesting clearly that we did the damage to the product, which of course and with no doubt we did not.
I called BestBuy customer service and was told by Tim Snow claiming to be the customer service manager, that by taking the closed box from the store "we took the risk" of getting a damaged product. Let me state clearly, nobody suggested at the time of purchase to open and test the product or that we take any risk buy not checking it in store.
They refuse to replace, and at this point to return and refund it.

Call the TV manufacturer and tell them what is going on. BestBuy is trying the same crap with us now. We bought a tv a week ago and now it has 4 or 5 inches worth a vertical lines on screen as of yesterday. I called the manufacturer today and they said if the BestBuy continues to give us ANY problems to have the store call them directly for an immediate replacement TV. The manufacturers won't mess around because BB can make them look back too.
