Big Cat "RESCUE?" Another place taking in donations and buying a bunch of wild animals to display. There website does nothing more than make a whole lot of claims and throws out some fancy names like aza when in fact they are not an accredited zoo but almost claim to be. They use this to boost there ability to take in your donations. Careful because you are actually inslaving these beautiful animals for life. They are another private zoo there to make the owners feel special for owning 100 caged animals. This place should be shut down they try to discredit everyone but themselves don't own big cats but they should own them. Big cats aren't pets but they admit on there website that they started by going out to buy a bobcat. Another hypocrite saying not to do something and then doing it themselves and doing it big. They have over 100 enslaved animals there on display as there private pets. Of course its ok because they are the approved by the Association of Sanctuaries an organization founded by can you take a guess yep no other than Big Cat Rescue. Careful giving your money to this place.

Why Big Cat Exploiters Hate Big Cat Rescue

AUTHOR: DougSmith - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 04, 2010

15:  Why are some other "animal people" bashing Big Cat Rescue and Carole Baskin?

A:  We have become a force in our state's capitol and in D.C. in effecting change to protect exotic cats from being bred for lives of confinement. People who make their living in the 20 billion dollar wildlife trade and those who support it by buying exotic cats hate that we are succeeding in getting more protective laws passed. Even some people who run pseudo sanctuaries are slandering us because both their income and their identity comes from being "rescuers" and if there were no animals in jeopardy then they would have to get a real job. Read more about the psychology of these people HERE and read about the successes big cats are having legislatively HERE.

16:  What's up with that Bay News 9 video that the exotic cat breeders and dealers post on the web?

A:  Since the first story in 1996 the sanctuary has been in the press 639 times and all but four of those were positive stories.  The 4 negative stories were not based on fact, but rather on gossip and innuendo.  Three of the four were trying to make something of nothing in regards to the disappearance of the co-founder.   He left the grounds one day in 1997 and never returned.  The reporters who ran with these negative stories were trying to make a name for themselves by saying something bad about a beloved sanctuary and were not interested in reporting facts.  We have always been truthful and transparent in our dealings and our history has always been a part of this website.

The reason our detractors use the Bay News 9 story is because they cannot make a good argument for why people should be allowed to have tigers in their back yard, so this becomes the only way they can try to discredit Carole Baskin and Big Cat Rescue.  You will no longer find this segment on Bay News 9's site, but only the pirated version that is posted by Zuzana Kukol (a tiger tamer wannabee in Las Vegas) and a place that sells Savannah Cats for thousands of dollars who hates us for warning people that Savannah Cats spray urine all over their owner's homes when they become adults.  The people quoted in the segment were either taken out of context, like Jim Moore, or people who were dismissed from Big Cat Rescue's volunteer program many years ago for animal abuse.
