I used this company because they allegedly had "certification" from PC manufacturers and magazines. You allow their software to scan your system looking BIOS update needs. The software indicated I did need updates, so I paid money to get the updated BIOS.

Once the money is paid, a ticket is opened and the BIOS are made available. The trouble is that the post-payment information says there are no BIOS updates available for anything on my system, even though their software told me I needed 16 various BIOS updates.

I called the company, got passed to two different people and demanded a full refund. They did issue a credit, or so they say, I haven't received the credit yet. I intend to dispute the charge just in case there is problem.

Do not use this company! I was foolish to do so, the scanning software is misleading and deceptive.

BIOS/Drivers, fine whatever. Yes the company has issued a credit, without much fight. The finalization of the charge and credit have not been settled with credit card company. But the software is still misleading and given that it had complete access to my system should have known after doing a detailed scan of my system and allegedly a comparison with their database that no update was available or needed. And this WITHOUT needing to collect money from me or anyone. Their hope is that you will pay the money, forget about the fact there were no updates or hoping for driver and BIOS updates in the future.

They can say what they want, but I don't consider this methodology to be the most honorable way to do business....profitable yes, but honorable? No.

BIOS Updates

AUTHOR: eSupport.com - (United States of America)

Our BIOS Update tool scans the system and detects the BIOS on the system.  It also detects all of the devices on the system and provides driver updates for those devices.

We then compare the BIOS ID to our vast database of over 100,000 BIOS updates.  When we find a match to that BIOS ID, the scan will show an update is available.  In some cases the BIOS ID can match to several different BIOS.  When that happens we have our technicians examine the customers request to ensure they are receiving the correct BIOS.

In some cases, it is determined that the customer's BIOS is up to date.  When this happens, the customer is then given access to our full database of BIOS updates and can look for themselves.  They are also free to submit a BIOS request for another system if they want.

If they choose not to, they are entitled to a refund.  No questions asked.

Since I do not know who this customer is I cannot verify if they received their refund yet.  However, they can feel free to email support@esupport.com to inquire if the refund has been processed.

As far as the customer stating that we told them they needed 16 BIOS updates, that is incorrect.  The scan indicates ONE bios and the rest are drivers.
