I do not know where to start. I ordered a computer from BlueHippo Funding in January '04. Today, September 14, 2004, I was told by a representative in the legal division that I will receive it by September 20 or the 21st, 2004. To date I have paid this company 1603.34 and I received nothing. I have reported this company to the Attorney General of Maryland, Consumer Protection Division and they were very instrumental in assisting me with this company. Hopefully I will receive this computer by these dates given as of today.

This company is clearly practicing fraudulent practices to deceive consumers into thinking getting a computer from them is easy. I cannot tell you how many phone calls I have made letters sent etc. I will report this company to the better business bureau. I hope anyone considering doing business with this company sees this website first.

Progress Update

AUTHOR: Regina - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, January 06, 2007

Since I posted my complaint, a Law Professor named Gary Peller, from Washington D.C. heard about it. Maryland Attorney General, then surrendered all files reguarding my Blue Hippo case, as well as few others that filed in Maryland as well.

During which time He forwarded copies of my file to my Attorney General, Lisa Madigan of Illinois. So Gary opened his federal case and Lisa opened her state case.

Illinois currently has Blue Hippo in court, and they are banned from selling to Illinoians. I am awaiting the finalities to that one, meanwhile, Gary managed to have my case heard in San Fransico California, cause a few of the plaintiffs are from there.

We filed a class action suite.

We are sueing Blue Hippo Funding, Gateway, because they used their computers, and a media company, because they were aware of the fraud as they continued to design more bogas commercials for them.

I will let you all know the out come.

Is This The One

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

I don't know if this is the one, but it sounds like it. Saw an ad on TV for Blue Hippo for a computer. The pitch was, you can own a computer for $35 per week for 1 year. That sounds like a ripoff to me $1,820. On top of that you didn't get the computer at all. Need more info on the computer to judge.
