My son talked me into buying him a new Boost phone at $130.00 with the $50.00 Unlimited Talk/Text Plan. There are no hidden fees, etc.
Well that is a lie. Radio Shack is who he pays and for the past few months he has paid $78.01. Radio Shack will not tell you that you have to pay them $3.50 for their service fee. There is no $50.00 unlimited Talk/Text as the bill is almost $80.00 per month. Be careful because they are misleading people and very dishonest.

Wrong rip-off

AUTHOR: Mike - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 21, 2012

It looks like you put the wrong company down for a rip-off.  Radio Shack would be the company that is ripping you off.  The Boost Mobile is Unlimited Talk, Text, Web, E-mail, and Directory Assistance for $50.  You may have to pay sales tax, depending on the state that you live in.  If Radio Shack is charging you to pay there, then they are ripping you off.  Go pay at a Boost store or a Sprint store.

Investigate for yourself

I am a consumer of Boost Mobile and have nothing but good to speak of them. Their customer service is very good. Their phones are adequate for youth and grown-ups. The $50.00 monthly charge is all I pay. Nothing more nothing less. Either some of you are going to the wrong retailers or you are working to kill this awesome market. Either way I plan to stay with them forever as long as they are giving great service and prices. My phone only cost me $49.00. I can text, walkie talkie, get my email etc. The reception is also great. No dropped calls like I had with the other widely known local cell company.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

Your so very wrong!!

Boost DOES in fact have a unlimited plan. However, be careful. There is an unlimited $50.00 flat fee for talk, text, web and walkie-talkie. If your phone is NOT equipt with a walkie-talkie button, then you can't get the unlimited plan as stated above. I'm wondering which phone you got?? ANYWAY...if you DO have a walkie-talkie phone, call Boost and tell them you want the Unlimited Talk, Text, Web and WT service. They do have it. I have it and have NEVER paid anything but $50.00 monthly. If you do go into a retail location to pay your bill, there very well may be a service fee. Go online and pay by credit card or purchase a green unlimited refil card at a store. This will avoid the service fee! Happy talking!

According to my math...

$50 plus $3.50 is $53.50, so where is the other $25 (approximately) coming from?
Why pay Radio Shack if they are charging you a fee, just put it on a debit/credit card directly from the phone.
