This company is a complete scam and bullies their employees to become unethical criminals too! John Uhrich should be ashamed for his business practices...first things first. He hires Jonathon Arrington of Omaha, who was indicted by a federal grand jury in 2013, on 14 counts of fraud including charges of conspiracy, mail and wire fraud. Mr. Arrington was the CTO of the company, but not recorded on the payroll due to being involved in the Ponzi Schemes, he wasn't allowed to be making any money nor hold bank accounts. He is the responsible party for showing Mr. Uhrich and Mr. Schwartz how to create fake websites and phone numbers. They are currently creating a list of over 3,400 venues in the U.S., Canada, Mecixo, Russia, the U.K. and Germany which holds the area code numbers or prefix to allow them to use a number similar to the venue and lure the customer in. Mr. Uhrich claims Mr. Arrington's un-documented pay as a financial loss to the IRS when paying taxes, claiming he lost over $250,000 that year.
When a customer calls in and purchases their ticket from BOTS, the company doesn't have the tickets in their inventory. They have a Sales Support Department that searches for the tickets online or through the "board" which is a Point of Sale program run through the company Ticket Network, which allows other brokers to post the tickets up for sale, almost like a craigslist. They also use sites like Ticketmaster, Stubhub or directly from venue sites. They go into the sites, using the customer's name and address but purchase it with a gift card the get from Great Western Bank or a credit card in Mr. Uhrich's name. They go to Great Western on a regular basis and purchase these cards with large increments of money, someitmes in amounts of $5,000 dollars at a time. They are currently working on how to obtain a Canadian gift cards so they wont be turned away by the box office, as well as a PO box to use when ordering Canadian tickets.
Once they purchase tickets on Ticketmaster, the tickets filter through to this website called 1TicketIntegration. This website syncs all of their Ticketmaster account to one point and "pulls" the ticket purchases into this account and allows them to modify the names/dollar amounts on the ticket. If the ticket was purchased elsewhere, they use a program called Adobe PDF Pro in which they use tools to select information they want to leave off a ticket (name, price, etc) and then select fill as the background color to omit the information. They then e-mail or Fedex the customer the tickets. They use emails from Go Daddy like orders at boxofficeticketsales dot com or tickettracker at boxofficeticketsales dot com. They also have this program called Botsds which claims to be a secure download and it is how they track if the customer downloaded the tickets. This program has issues being downloaded by mobile devices. If the customer clicks on the link to start the download it sends a download reciept showing the date, time and IP address of the person opening it. If it sends feedback saying the customer downloaded the tickets, but the customer has issues downloading the tickets, their customer service will tell you oh well, you downloaded them and then they wont refund the customer. They assume the customer attended the event, saw how cheap they really were and then want a refund, which isn't the case.
When they hire, they instruct their managers to not hire people of age as they wont be able to keep up with the technology. They fired a heavier set, African-American woman becuase they felt she was "lazy" and the CTO said racial slurs like get her "Black-expletive" out of here when giving the instruction to fire. She was one of the best performers on the job. The individuals they hire are 20 somethings that dress like they are going to a club, intermingle in unprofessional relationships, smoke illegal drugs during business hours and partake in gambling as well as alcohol consumption. They allow these employees to show up half intoxicated and sleep on tables in the kitchen. The work environment is hostile and difficult to work in.
On top of the outrageous mark up of the ticket, they charge a 25% service fee and a delivery fee. For shipping it is $14.99 and $7.50 for e-mail, which should be included in the service fees. When Canadian customers call in and purchase tickets, they aren't informed that it will be charged to their account at the exchange rate of American to Canadian. These customers, sometimes, notice the issue and call in requesting a refund of the excessive charges. The office manager refunds them the difference they were charged from the exchange rate they were charged at, even if it isn't the full difference, still scamming the customer out of money. For example, if their bill with us is $100 but they see a charge of $121 appear on their statement, the manager would refund the $21, not cheking that day's exchange rate, which is still shorting them cash.
When you are looking to buy tickets for an event through a search engine, their company comes up and even has a picture of the venue. Make sure to clarify who you are calling and ask directly if they are the venue. Save yourself the financial woes and stress by going to the venue to purchase!
