I ordered a set of Rotors with pads included for my vehicle. I received the correct rotors, and 3/4 of the correct pads. But 1/4 of them were incorrect. I had the vehicle already torn apart, and the mechanic was involved in the job. I had to purchase alternate pads that FIT my vehicle at an additional expense of $85.00, and pay extra to have the mechanic remove the incorrect pad set that he had already installed, and install this COMPLETE set.

When I notified the company of this dilemma on their next business day, they said they would only pay me $10.00 back and send me another set of pads. I want my money back for the pads that I had to purchase to complete this job.

Then after all this they say that I am immature and childish since I am angry that I had to pay extra money and they do not take any responsibility for their ineptitude. They are willing to refund $10.00! I spent more than that sending them their d**n useless pads back! Seriously, if you are considering buying brake parts. Save yourself some headache and get them somewhere else. Even if they are slightly more expensive. You will thank me in the long run.

I have resolved my issue with Brake Performance amicably. They have graciously agreed to compensate me for the difference in purchasing the new pads. I rescind my earlier review and would recommend their products proudly. Definitely a 'buy again' seller.

You Did Something Without Their Authorization, and Want them to Pay for it. No Dice

AUTHOR: Jeff - (U.S.A.)

If they sent you the incorrect part, you should have contacted them first before you tried to pin an obligation on them to pay for something else. Their obligation was to correct their mistake - not to pay for yours, which was purchasing something.

Sorry you've had this problem, but in expecting for them to pay for a part from another supplier, you've made an awefully big and incorrect assumption.

You didn't get ripped off. Sounds like a mistake happened, and you compounded it.
