Calvary Portfolio Services Trying to collect on a car that's been paid off for over 4 years. Hawthorne New York

A "Miss Emmerling" called me this morning to tell me she had called my current employer and that she was calling me re: a bill owed to GMAC, when i became upset because she had done this she told me she could do anything she wanted to.

She then proceeded to tell me I owed a balance on a car that I had purchased in 2003. It only got worse from there, this vehicle had been in an auto accident in August of 2003 and was totaled MY insurance company paid the car in full at that time, all of the sudden I owe someone over 1200 on this??? I don't think so she refused to give me anymore info, refused to verify or validate the info, stating she already sent me 2 letters, which I did not receive.

Also what was interesting when I stated about the car having been totaled and my insurance paying for it she asked me don't you have any GAP insurance, I told her it doesn't matter what I have now, this car has been paid for over 4 years ago. she then changed her story and said she had paper work on the car had been repossed and I needed to pay her the 1200.00.

Now it is also interesting to note that after this entire conversation is when she told me they were recording me and this was an attempt to collect a debt, then she said get your checkbook out and write me a check, I ended it with "how about you pound this up your a**".
