I made an internet purchase for a Nikon Digital SLR Camera, Model D300 on 03/16/09. The Camera stated that it was ONLY the Body, No Lenses. Understood. Very typical in the purchase of Digital SLR Camera purchase.

It did NOT, HOWEVER, state that the camera body DID NOT Include the standard Nikon Factory Supplied Accessories, provided with ALL Nikon Camera Purchases directly from the Manufacturer!

On 03/17/09, Camera Giants attempted to contact me via email AND telephone to confirm my purchase. I returned the call at 12:02 pm Pacific Standard Time.
A rude Customer Service Rep informed me that the Standard Supplied Accessories were NOT included! I stated that I was disappointed and that the Internet Advertisement DID NOT state that these typical accessories supplied by the manufacturer were NOT INCLUDED with the camera body, as it IS at ALL other supplying retailers.

This is where it gets nasty! The CSR begins to insult me by calling me a "Baby" and tells me to "Grow Up" and to "Stop Crying, I'm trying to help you out by giving you a deal" He said that for an additional fee, he can include the battery and charger for a grand total of $1300.00!

I was infuriated by the insults implying that I was being a child for debating a misleading advertisement. I asked for the supervising lead, in which he replied that he was the manager (Peter was the given name at this time) and I than asked who was above him in which he stated "No one! You want to ask me who's my boss and my boss's boss? I don't have time to play your games pal!"

I addressed the issue of how shocked at the service I was getting and he replied "You're not a guest. I cancelled your order and you're not a paying customer! So just grow up and make the purchase! I'm trying to help YOU out!"

I told him that his service was just short of that of a used car salesman and hung up.

I called shortly after to the CSR Dept and immediately asked for a manager in which the gentleman replied he was the Supervising Manager. It was a different person clearly.

He told me that HIS name was Peter! I told him of my problem and told him the rude CSR I spoke to claimed that HIS name was Peter and he spoke with a very distinctive accent, A "New Yorkish" accent.
He informed me that it was Kenny that was the rude CSR and not Peter!The rude CSR LIED about his title AND his name!

After informing him of my terrible event, Peter reassured me that he would "take care of the issue" but NEVER addressed the REAL problem, the camera accessories! I told him to just cancel my order and that I would be following up with the matter in the near future.

To sum it up.....
*Camera Giants have misrepresented themselves with Misleading Advertisements
*They try to Rip you off by charging you EXTRA for NECCESSARY accessories that are normally PROVIDED by the manufacturer
*The ABSOLUTE WORST Customer Service EVER!!!!
*DID NOT provide any means of resolution

I would love to hear back from Camera Giants because from what they've posted on their site, they provide GREAT service with ample satisfied customers to back it! I am a fair consumer that believes in allowing the wrongful party to right their wrongs, so I would LOVE to hear back from them!
I just hope that the service accolades they display aren't a misleading advertisement either though!

So Camera Giants, I am waiting for redemption!
