Capital Accounts, Capital Accounts collection agents rude and non professional behavior Nashville Tennessee

i have been receiving rude and harrassing calls from several capital account agents for the past 11 months. they have been hired by gei sanitation to collect approximately $430 from me for a service that was not provided. i explained why i did not pay gei sanitation in my rebuttal letter that i faxed to chris smith on 4/14/08. i did not receive a response from capital accounts regarding my rebuttal but instead, the harrassing phone calls continued to pour in. when able to get a word in, due to the person on the other end talking over me, I told them that had submitted a rebuttal letter and that i was not paying any amount of money.

my husband took a call from tom jones from capital accounts 2 weeks ago and he went as far as telling my husband how much of our credit card limit was still available and that we needed to pay our bills. once again my husband told him we were not paying and hung up.

today i had a message from eric white from capital accounts asking that i return his call due to a very important matter. i knew exactly where to call was calling from but thought just maybe this was person would be interested in what i had to say. was i ever wrong. eric smith was just as big of a jerk as all the other agents who had called my home. when i told him that i had sumitted a rebuttal letter he immediately started yelling at me telling me i needed to pay my bills. i told him the same thing we have told all the other callers, "please take me to court". he continued to yell so i told him to have a nice day and hung up the phone.

my husband and i are not bad people and have excellent credit ratings. i just ran my credit report on 12/22/08 and my credit rating is 782. i have been in the military for 24 years and my husband just retired in dec 2007 after serving 23 years. our financial stability has allowed us to pay off 3 car loans and 2 personal loans in the month of dec and jan 2009. it's not that we can't afford to pay gei sanitation for this erroneous charge but it's the principal.

i would love to hear from anyone else who has had issues with gei sanitation whether it be billing issues or their negligence of picking up your trash. if the harrassing phone calls do not stop from capital account who is the collection agency hired by gei, i plan to file a case with small claims court.
