I was contacted by Capital First on August 9, 2002 at around 5:15 p.m. by a representative named Ben Smith. As this was the second time that I have been contacted by this company, I grabbed a notebook and pencil so I could begin asking questions.

The representative sounded foreign and could not speak English very well, and immediately began his opening. I would receive a credit card, with no interest for the life of the card. When asked how this could be possible, considered all banks borrow on Prime, the representative got indignant and stated "Are you 18?" completely ignoring me. I asked another question, "does this card have an annual fee?" to which Ben replied "Yes, are you 18 or over?"

I asked him to give me his phone number the location of his company and his extension, which I practically had to pry out of him. He didn't know anything about the card, and repeatedly tried to get my correct address, telling me "it's free for the trial period" over and over. "I just need your checking account number", I was told.
I hung up on him, feeling very frustrated, to call the "customer service" number he had given me. It seemed fishy that the phone was picked up immediately by a woman who also could not speak english well.

I was asked for my social security number to proceed. When I asked to speak with a quality supervisor, I was told "no, do you have an account?" I could not get through, nor could she reveal any information, including location, of the bank without my having an account.
I wish someone could look into this and tell me if this is a true fraud or not.
