CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!  I listed my 2007 Suzuki XL7 for sale with caracquire.com because the (very believable) well trained salesman told me that Car Acquire had "several people already signed up with Car Acquire that were looking for a vehicle exactly like mine".  I was a bit concerned about their $500 up-front fee, but because they said that all but $150 would be refunded if they did not sell my car, I went ahead and signed up with them.  The day that I signed up was the last time I heard from anybody at Car Acquire, nor did I hear from any of their "hot leads" to purchase my vehicle.  Sure enough, the 90 day listing period expired, but unbeknownst to me, because I did not complete the refund request form within 7 days of the 90 day list period expiring, they refused to refund my $350.  Of course, they did not mention the 7 day requirement to submit the refund request WHEN I LISTED MY VEHICLE WITH THEM.  They conveniently let that 7 days run it course and then refuse the refund.

Now....maybe it's just "coincidence" that I was never contacted by ANYBODY interested in purchasing my car, but the only reason I decided to go this route and pay the $500 up front was because of the convincing job that the salesman did over the phone telling me just how many buyers that they had "lined up" that were interested in my style of vehicle.

Buyer beware...if you decide to sign up with them, and they don't sell your vehicle, you had better adhere to their ridiculous 7-day refund request rule, or they WILL NOT refund your money.

Not saying they are a scam, but they are shady at the least.  How's that Car Acquire...happy you didn't refund my money now?
