i recieved a "free" cruise in the mail, which turned out to be a vacation deal. I was set up on a payment program (beg. with a check of 80 some dollars) after I gave them my credit information and bank account number (i am truly naive). They seemed legit, and it wasn't until afterwords when I never recieved a confirmation phone call that I found proof it was a scam. I cancelled my checks (all of them just to be safe) but I'm worried bc they also have my credit card information, and I'd rather not cancel that too.

You should definitely call your credit card company and have them issue you a new card with a new number, better safe than sorry when dealing with the Caribbean Cruise Lines scam artists.

isnt it funny how the ripp off article puts down these companies then uses links to get you to go somewhere else? id believe them if it wasn't for the links. i think they are very nasty to lead away people by a very deceptive practice. don't they have something better to do with their time then to lure innocent people away mostlikely to a worse situation! sincerely, benny v b

The cruise is indeed free, but only when you purchase a vacation package to Orlando and Ft. Launderdale, with a couple bonus vacations to Las Vegas and Puerto Vallarta thrown in. It's really a good deal at $798, considering they also give you a rental car with unlimited mileage.
Now, you weren't SUPPOSED to receive a 'confirmation phone call,' they're supposed to tell you then and there that your card has been charged whatever amount YOU agreed to, obtain your vocal confirmation and then YOU call them 60 days in advance of whenever you want to take your trip.
