Placed an order for wheels, was told they would be processed and shipped in a few days. A week goes by, they haven't been processed or shipped, I call to see what's going on. I wait 25 minutes on hold to speak to someone. They inform me the wheel I ordered (which I was told would be out the door within a week) would take 6-8 weeks to deliver. They offered me another wheel choice. I chose another wheel, and this one was quoted to be delivered in 2-3 weeks from the time of its ordering. A few days go by, the expected delivery date was set 4 weeks away, a full week outside of what was promised. I called back, again, waited on hold for 25 minutes, again, to plead my case to another employee.

They actually tried to claim the 2-3 weeks they quoted was 7 day weeks, not 5, even though they aren't working on the weekends. Anyways, they finally admitted they were in the wrong and got wheels shipped out in the time they quoted. When the wheels showed up, they were the wrong offset. I called them, again, another 25 minute wait time, to be told i would have to send them the wrong wheels first, before they would ship the correct wheels. I felt this was unacceptable since it was their mistake by sending me the wrong wheels. I emailed them the manifest which showed they sent the wrong wheels, and also a picture of the sizing on the back of the wheel, proving it was indeed, incorrect.

I expected them to send me the correct wheels and I would return their wrong wheels once they send me a tracking number for the corrected order. They refused. They said they couldn't trust me to send back the wrong wheels. THEY COULDN'T TRUST ME. They originally misquoted me, twice, they sent the wrong wheels, and now they are saying that I have to trust them to send the correct wheels once they get the wrong ones back? Unbelievable. I am expected to trust them when they haven't been able to get one thing right, but yet, they've had my money for over a month, and I've given them no reason to not trust me, but they claim they can't trust me. It's disgustingly hypocritical. I cannot wait another 2-3 weeks for them to fix an order that's taken a month to receive.

I feel it is their responsibility to send the correct wheels since they were the ones to send the wrong ones. We wouldn't be doing this had they not screwed up. They offered to "put a hold on my card for the amount" and ship the right ones out immediately, but why should i have to let them take another $1400 out of my account for their mistake. They should put the hold on the guy who grabbed the wrong wheels and shipped them out. The guy even signed the "checklist" that is SUPPPOSED to be an order verification. Yet, they want ME to wait another 2-3 weeks, or make ME pay for the right wheels on top of the old ones, until THEY can fix their mistake and refund my money in the end.

Long story short. STAY AWAY FROM CARID.COM!!!! They are a complete waste of time and there are other shops that appreciate their customers and take responsibility for THEIR mistakes. This was an expensive lesson learned by trying a new company (to me), and I hope no one else takes the risk of dealing with Carid.com. Completely unprofessional.
