This company has outrageous interest rates.  I authorized a deduction from my bank account of $500.  Castle Payday extracted $1350 from my account and put me in the negative.

I have spoken with "Ed", who promised to resolve the situation which included refunding the overdraft charges I accrued because of the excessive deduction.

For over a week, I have had NO resolution, and am incurring more overdraft fees.  Per my conversation today with Castle Payday, they want to reimburse me only my initial overdraft fees, and request I take another loan at their VIP discount.

I don't want their loans, (or interest fees), just want them to right "their wrong".  I am considering to press charges for "grand larceny", since they stole over $850 dollars from me (not counting the overdraft fees).

STAY AWAY!

High Interest is not good.

"This company has outrageous interest rates. "

Most payday loan places charge triple digit interest.   It's hard to call it a ripoff or even "outrageous", though, since you were the one who agreed to pay their rate in order to get the loan in the first place.   Was it not so "outrageous" when you needed the money, but is now "outrageous" when you have to pay it back?

As an aside, never give any company access to your bank account.   As far as the bank is concerned, whatever some third party does with your account is YOUR problem.

"   I am considering to press charges for "grand larceny", since they stole over $850 dollars from me (not counting the overdraft fees). "

Wishful thinking.  Do you really think you can get a D.A. or A.G. to pursue criminal charges over this?    In real life, this is a civil matter.    In order for you to recoup the losses incurred by this company's erroneous deduction, you would either have to convince them to make good, or sue them in civil court.    That is why you don't let any company access your bank account.
