CBCS COLLECTIONS ripoff Columbus Ohio

I amm in collections by CBCS from Verizon phone bill. I am a former debt collector also. I have received a phone call recently from this company I advised them I did not have the money to pay and i hung up. They called back, my husband answered, and the told him to "pay his bills, dead beat " and hung up.

First of all it was my bill, and this company should not be using this language with any debtor. Secondly, i came home the other day to a message on my answering machine, that stated this was an attempt to collect a debt ( the "mini miranda").

This is a violation of the FDCPA and I do not understand how this company can get away with such violations. I have notified their client , Verizon. For any one that doesnt know, collection agencies CAN NOT leave a message on a machine where a third party could over hear, stating that you have a debt. If they do, its a violation and they need to be reported
